Getting Started

What is vTopUp?+

vTopUp is a fast and reliable platform for buying airtime, data bundles, and other digital services instantly. Our tagline says it best: Top up anything.

How do I create an account?+

Sign up at app.vtopup.ng with your email or phone number, verify with an OTP, and complete your profile. Your account is ready to use immediately.

Is vTopUp free to use?+

Creating an account is completely free. You only pay for the services you purchase.

What services does vTopUp support?+

Currently we support airtime and data bundles for all major networks (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile). Electricity bills, cable TV, internet subscriptions, and more are coming soon.

Wallet & Payments

How do I fund my wallet?+

Go to the Wallet section, tap 'Fund Wallet,' choose a payment method, and complete the payment. Funds appear in your wallet instantly after confirmation.

What payment methods are accepted?+

We accept debit/credit cards and bank transfers via Paystack - one of Nigeria's most trusted payment processors.

Is there a minimum top-up amount?+

The minimum wallet funding amount is ₦100. Individual service minimums may vary (e.g. airtime from ₦50).

Are there fees on wallet funding?+

Deposit fees, if any, are clearly displayed before you confirm funding. There are no hidden charges.

Is my wallet balance safe?+

Yes. Wallet balances are secured at database level with encrypted access controls and audit logs on every transaction.

Airtime & Data

Which networks are supported?+

We support MTN, Glo, Airtel, and 9Mobile for both airtime and data bundles.

How do I buy airtime?+

Open the app, go to Services → Airtime, select the network, enter the amount and phone number, then confirm with your Transaction PIN.

How do I buy a data bundle?+

Go to Services → Data, choose your carrier and plan type (daily, weekly, monthly, or a Hot Deal), enter the phone number, and confirm. Data activates immediately.

Can I buy airtime or data for someone else?+

Yes. Enter any valid phone number during checkout and they'll receive the service instantly.

What are Hot Deals?+

Hot Deals are admin-curated data plans highlighted for best value. They're updated periodically so check back often.

Transactions

How long does a transaction take?+

Most transactions complete in under 60 seconds. When a provider is slow, our fallback handling keeps you updated with real-time status.

What if my transaction fails?+

If a transaction fails, your wallet balance is automatically refunded. You can monitor status in Transaction History and raise a dispute if needed.

Can I get a receipt?+

Yes. Every successful transaction has a detailed receipt in your Transaction History, including reference numbers and timestamps.

What does 'Processing' mean?+

Processing means your transaction is confirmed and queued but awaiting final delivery from the provider. This usually resolves within a few minutes.

Security & Account

What is the Transaction PIN?+

Your PIN is a 4-digit code that authorizes all purchases. It adds a second layer of protection so even if your phone is unlocked, transactions still require your PIN.

What if I forget my PIN?+

You can reset your PIN from the Account → Security section. A verification step is required.

Is my personal data shared?+

No. We only share data with network providers strictly to fulfill your service request, and with payment processors for transaction processing. We never sell your data.

How do I contact support?+
